This is such a fund craft to do that I could make them all day! I mean my boys love them too, but it's great for any age! We do this kind of painting often and each time it never gets old. I thought doing little sugar skulls this time for Halloween would be so cute! All you need are a few simple items that you might already have on hand.
Materials:
Paper (preferably water color)
Water colors
Paint brushes
White crayon
Glass of water
Rag or cloth
Newspaper or something to paint on top of
Take your white crayon and start drawing your sugar skull designs onto your paper. Once you have them all drawn up, set up your painting station. Paints, brushes, cup of water, rag for drying brush if needed. Start painting. I love it when my boys paint like this, they don't think to much like I do sometimes when it comes to colors and there's usually end up radder because of it! As you paint your image with come to life and reveal your magical sugar skull. It's so much fun and I just love seeing the result at the end!
You can take it to other images too, spider webs, pumpkins, grave stones, ghosts, etc. Whatever you choose, just have fun with it!
If you ever have a rainy day or a day where you just want to stay in, this is a great easy project to do with your littles. If you make some please share it with us over @thelittlebungalow, we would love to see and share them in our stories! Happy Haunting!
