If you are in love with awesome rugs like I am and find yourself just buying them because you love the way they look, but in reality have no place for one I have a solution for you! I found this rug at my local #HomeGoods and couldn't pass it up. It was only $12.00 and the colors and textures were just so lovely. I bought it, brought it home and had no need for it! That's where this #DIY came to mind. How great it this as a wall piece?! I love the dynamic is beings to my stairway and how it just brightens things instantly. You can use any rugs really big or small, all you need are a few materials and a little bit of time. Follow my instructions below and start creating!
Materials:
Rug of choice
Wooden Dowel (long enough to hang out a little at ends)
String/ Durable fishing line
Scissors
Thread
Needle
Instructions:
Once you have all of your materials all you need to do is fold your rug over your wooden dowel leaving enough fabric on the opposite side to be able to stitch both pieces together. Thread your needle and do a quick running stitch just under your wooden dowel. Tie thread off. Cut any excess thread off. Tie your string or fishing line to one and then the other, this will be where your rug hangs. Once that is secured find your spot on your wall and display your masterpiece!
