Find beauty in everything around you.
One of our favorite things to do is explore the outdoors. I love teaching our boys through hands on learning and exploring. They have learned to love and appreciate nature in so many different ways and are completely in awe with it just as I am. It amazes me what this Earth creates out of thin air and the details that go into each masterpiece. We are always collecting and creating with nature. What better way to teach our kids by having them get outside and collect what they find intriguing. We created these recycled nature books for them to document their findings and have something to look back on and cherish. It gets their little minds running and excited to go on many adventures! Make yours up today with just a few simple materials and some time to get out and explore this beautiful world!

Have fun with it, have your littles decorate it and personalize it with drawings, stickers, stamps, endless possibilities. I used lined paper to document our trips and date stamps. Construction paper to create natural leaf rubbings from found leaves, and plain white paper to tape some of their findings too. Create it however you want, those were just a few of or pages. Make a book for every season and start a little nature library. It's just a great project to get involved in and to get your littles outside and excited about their surroundings and life. :)

Pick out your paper bag
Cut down one side and cut off the bottom
Your bag should now lay flat
Cut out middle section cutting along seam lines
You should now have 2 parts
My bag was a bit wider than my paper so I traced my paper and cut my bag to match paper width

Next if there is enough left take the bottom of your bag and fold it up from the bottoms to create pockets. Use your hot glue to glue the 2 sides down. Or use your extra bag pieces to create pockets.
Gather your paper and your bag front and back parts and figure out where you want to punch your holes for the books binding
Punch your holes
Grab your string and wind in and out of your hole punchings + tie it off when done
Cut any long left over string away.
Decorate and name it.
Get out and explore!
